and Sports College

St Joseph’s RC High School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

Welcome from the Headteacher

Welcome to our community. Whether you are already a member of the St Joseph’s family, considering joining us as a student, a prospective parent or would like to work at St Joseph’s we hope that you will sense the warmth of our vibrant community.

St Joseph’s is a well-established Catholic school with a fantastic reputation for the very highest of standards, outstanding pupils and exceptional staff. Our Catholic mission and ethos is at the centre of all that we do. We are committed to caring for each individual student. If you are prepared to work hard you will find St Joseph’s a supportive and challenging environment. We have the highest expectations of all our students and believe that each student deserves the very best possible support to reach his or her full potential.

In 2015, Ofsted judged the school ‘good’ across all areas. Ofsted commented “The behaviour of students is outstanding. Students’ behaviour in lessons is exemplary. They are highly engaged in, and very ambitious, with regard to their learning and the progress they make.”

We seek to nurture the spiritual development of each individual student. We aim to develop the belief and self-confidence of each student so that they can achieve their potential, regardless of their ability and realise their dreams and ambitions. In short, we believe that we are building the Kingdom of God here on earth at St Joseph’s.   We are ‘game changers’, educating young people to change the world for the better.

If you would like to help us change the world, or wish to find out more about St Joseph’s, please do not hesitate to contact us. We are always happy to help.
