Mr D Mulligan is retiring from St Joseph's after 30 years of loyal service to the school, as a Head of Year, Manager of the Alternative Curriculum and as a Maths and PE teacher.  We wish him a long and happy retirement.

 

Miss E Dowd is retiring after 18 years at St Joseph's as a Manager of Learning and an English teacher.  We wish her a long and happy retirement.

 

Miss V Atherton has taught at our school for seven years and has been responsibile for the transition of pupils from year six to year seven.  She has been promoted to Second in the English department at a school in Wigan.  We wish her every success in her new job.

 

Mrs C Turner is leaving the Maths department to spend more time with her family.

 

Mrs A Nicholas has taught Drama, Art and ICT at St Joseph's and is leaving to move to the North East of England.

 

Mr P Walmsley from our Maths department is leaving St Joseph's to become second in the Maths department at Mount St Joseph's High School.

 

Mr Hatton from our Music department is leaving to teach in the Channel Islands.

 

Mrs M Gallastegui from our Modern Languages department is leaving to teach at a school in Oldham. 

 

Mrs S Lloyd who retired two years ago and came back to teach GCSE pupils and to cover for Miss Dougan.  We wish her a long and happy second retirement!!

 

We wish our two graduate teachers, Miss K Morgan and Mr Wakefield a successful career in teaching.

 

We wish Mrs J Keating and Mrs J Wilding a happy and long retirement after serving as an important part of our community over many years as welfare staff.

 

Mrs K Ainsworth our Kitchen Manager is retiring for a well earned rest!  We will miss the work that she has done for us over the many years.

 

We wish Mrs K Harris and her husband every good wish as they look forward to the birth of their baby in August.

 

We wish all of our Year 11 Leavers every success as they move onto Further Education or employment.

 

As we say goodbye to many members of our community, we also welcome new members to our community...
